Deontae Craig is a 4th-year student at The University of Iowa and defensive linemen on the Hawkeye football team. He’s received accolades such as the Coach’s Appreciation Award, second-team All-Big Ten by Phil Steele, and honorable mention All-Big Ten by league media. When he’s not playing football or studying, you can find him hanging out with his dog Kobie and snapping adorable photos for his instagram @lil_kobie.

Sydney Affolter from Chicago, IL, is a guard on the Iowa Women’s Basketball team, proudly wearing #3. Off the court, Sydney is a dedicated student, double majoring in sport and recreation management and health studies. Her impressive achievements include being named to the 2024 All B1G Tournament Team and the 2024 Albany 2 All-Regional Team, as well as serving as the 2024 Women’s Basketball Captain.

Xavier Nwankpa is a dynamic safety for the Iowa Hawkeyes, known for his athleticism, intelligence, and leadership on the field. A native of Altoona, Iowa, Nwankpa has been a standout player since his high school days at Southeast Polk. His impressive high school career included multiple All-State honors and a reputation for making game-changing plays.

At Iowa, Nwankpa has quickly become a key component of the Hawkeyes’ defensive unit. Entering his 2^ndseason as a starting safety on one of the top defenses in College Football, Xavier looks to help lead the Hawkeye defense to another successful season. Off the field, Nwankpa is recognized for his dedication to academics and his community involvement. He’s an active participant in various outreach programs and is known for his leadership qualities, both in the locker room and in the classroom.

With a bright future ahead, Xavier Nwankpa is poised to make a significant impact in college football and beyond, drawing on his strong work ethic and passion for the game.

Born and raised in Moline, Illinois, Owen Freeman has been loved basketball all his life.  Now, as a second-year student and forward for the Iowa Men’s Basketball team, he’s making history—earning the Big Ten Freshman of the Year award in his first season. Owen also led Big Ten freshmen in rebounds and ranked second in field goal percentage. When he’s not on the court, you can find Owen kicking back with friends, playing video games, and drawing.

Greta Kampschroeder is a senior student at The University of Michigan and guard on the women’s basketball team. A former McDonald’s All-American and Academic All-Big Ten athlete, Greta has appeared in 32 games for Michigan, averaging 2.4 points and 1.2 rebounds per game. Noteworthy performances include three triples for nine points against Rutgers and a perfect shooting day from beyond the arc against Eastern Michigan. Off the court, Greta’s love for art shines through her Instagram art account.

THE UNIVERSITY OF wisconsin-madison, women’s volleyball

A 5th-year student and volleyball standout at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Devyn Robinson has made her mark both on and off the court. Hailing from Ankeny, IA, where her love for Pancheros Mexican food began, Devyn is a powerful presence in volleyball. Selected as team captain in 2024, she neared a double-double against No. 6 Louisville with 8 kills and 10 blocks, tying her career-high in blocks. Throughout her career, she has earned multiple All-American honors, including the 2020 and 2022 AVCA Third-Team All-American and 2023 AVCA Honorable Mention All-American. Her impact is felt not only in regular season play but also in the NCAA Championship and Big Ten tournaments.

Devyn also excels academically, being recognized as an Academic All-Big Ten honoree in 2021, 2022, and 2023. Off the court, she is a digital content creator with a passion for her cat, Pepito, whose name means “nugget” in Spanish.

Natalie Harris of Waukee, IA is a 3rd year student at The University of Iowa and member of the track and field team. She studies Enterprise Leadership and Event Management. In her collegiate career, Natalie has been a Big Ten Finalist, set her collegiate-best time of 8.47 in the 60-meter hurdles at the Larry Wieczorek Invite, and also earned second place in the same event at the Jimmy Grant Invite and Hawkeye Invite. Outside of hurdles, she has a deep love for fashion, art, and musical theater.

michigan state university, women’s basketball

Abbey Kimball of Grand Rapids, MI is a 3rd year student at Michigan State University and member of the women’s basketball team. In her collegiate career for Michigan State, she’s a standout both on the court and in the classroom, earning CSC Academic All-District and Academic All-Big Ten honors. Starting all 31 games this season, she averaged 7.8 points per game, with a career-high 19 points at the Cancun Challenge and a strong 17-point, six-rebound performance against Rutgers.
